Yes. IDIS v 3 is a web-based program that requires internet access.
Why should I use the new IDIS?
IDIS v 3 offers a number of attractive features to assist you in filing the Campaign Disclosure Reports. IDIS v 3 will:
� Be available from any computer with Internet Access because it is Web-based
� No longer require any software to be installed or downloaded
� Allow users to securely log in with a User Name and Password
� Allow multiple users to work on reports simultaneously
� Automatically store your data to the State Board of Elections server
Is a lot of experience with computers needed to use IDIS?
Definitely not. Experienced computer users will find IDIS very easy to use. Computer novices can learn to use IDIS very quickly.
The State Board of Elections offers free support for any questions you should have.
What if I need help?
IDIS v 3 has built-in help immediately available to answer most of your questions. Should you need additional support, experts at the
State Board of Elections are standing by Monday through Friday during regular business hours.
Can I still use the original version of IDIS?
Not for long. All political committees are urged to being using IDIS v 3 now. The State Board of Elections will stop accepting filings
from IDIS v 2 in the near future.
Do I have to re-enter all the data again?
You do not. You are able to Transfer your committee data from IDIS v 2 into IDIS v 3. Transferring your data works in only one direction and
once transferred, you may not return to IDIS v 2.
Is filing with IDIS v 3 secure?
Yes. IDIS uses SSL (secured socket layer) to encrypt all transmissions over the Internet. This is the same technique on-line banking uses to secure
transactions.
